Amazing Atlantic Road

Atlantic Road / Atlanterhavsveien / Averøy, it is kept open throughout the year from 1989 and now toll-free. It took six years and cost approximate 19.37 million US dollars to complete this project consisting of 8 bridges and many roads; it connects islands and is over 8 km (5.4 miles) long.
The Atlantic Road was voted as “Norway’s construction of the century” in 2005.
