One study found that the statistical data of pet cats preying birds is clearly more than other animals.

The researchers conducted a survey of several parks and found that about 47% of the death of all birds were caused by the cats. Cats and birds are natural enemy, just as animated films, the cats will mercilessly hunt the birds.

It is estimated that every year cats in Britain kill about 275 million various animals, in which there’re about 55 million birds. Nick Shelton, a spokesman for the RSPB (Royal Society Protection of Birds), said that domestic cats are evolved from wild cats, so they instinctively take birds as an important source of food.
